December 2005 Dear Friends, When I was a kid we would say things like “You are as slow as Christmas.” I don’t know what happened but Christmas comes a lot faster these days. Darla and I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. I also want to thank you for your prayers and your support this year. We as a family have gone through many changes this year. As many of you know our youngest went off to college . She is off to a great start with her studies. She had a 3.60 GPA this first semester at Ouachita Baptist University. Brandon is also doing great and we thank God for our kids. If the “empty nest” was not enough change. Back in September Darla and I felt God leading us to leave the work in Cancun and move 45 miles South to the City of Playa Del Carmen. In October hurricane Wilma, which was strongest storm in history to form in the Atlantic basin, hit this part of Mexico. Our people are still in the recovery mode but because of your prayers and support you gave through the IMB we have been able to minister to thousands of people in this part of Mexico. Thank you for giving and for your prayers. I am sure that Wilma will not be our last storm. In 2006 I’m sure we will see many great needs at home and around the world. Please don’t become weary of doing good! Please continue to pray and please continue to give. God is at work in Playa Del Carmen and around the world! Lives are being changed for eternity! Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks so Much! Merry Christmas! Your Missionaries in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico Galatians 4:4-5 (Living Bible) “When the right time came, the time God decided on, He sent His son, born of a woman so that He could adopt us as His very own children.” Pray for our Christmas Eve service on the beach at Paamul.
