Millars on Mission - November 2004

We are on a “mountain top” in Cancun. I want all of you experience this wonderful view of life, seeing God at work changing lives. I am writing you today so that you and your church would praise God with us. It is difficult to write because I do not have words that can adequately express the feeling I have as I reflect on all that God has done in the last month. The numbers don’t tell the whole story, but this numbers are exciting for our little church.
• We had 38 new believers who followed Christ in believer’s baptism on the 13th.
• We are up about 25% in church attendance.
• We have started 24 new ministries and over 30 new home groups.
• We have a New Medical Mission for the poor.
• We are making plans for 2 short-term mission trips one to Alaska in July and one to Cuba in March.
• What is even more exciting is seeing the lives that are changing as people repent and turn to Christ. It is truly a God thing.

Happy Hour in Cancun’s
Largest Night Club

We had our Celebration and Baptism service at The City.

The City is one of the largest Night Clubs in Latin America and the home for MTV in Cancun but November 13th it was the place of praise and worship as 38 people were baptized and over 500 people were in attendance.

It was the first church service that I had ever seen that ended with a Las Vegas style light show. We were able to be a witness to many who would have never come to our church it was truly a great night.

Pray for the new believers that they would grow in Christ
Pray for our leadership team Doug, Marco, Mauricio, and Daniel
Pray that this church would be the start of a movement in Cancun
Pray for our family Darla, Brandon, Brittany and Doug
Pray for our small group leaders
Pray for the new ministries and the leadership
Praise God! The Mountaintops are great in Cancun!
